Snoot Light
'Snoot Light' is hand formed Terracotta, using the Slab and Coil method. This form, is imagined from the lighting used on a film set. The 'Snoot' light is used to direct light to a contained area, to highlight a main character or object. The wood grain mimics the way in which wood has been used to construct the world we live in.
Like a movie, my light sculpture is focused on the world we are immersed in. You are in a Forest, the forest is dark and deep, scary even. The light is directive and hopeful, warm and inviting. Made from earth, to mimic the forest, my light is hopeful, leading you in and showing the way.
